This room-filling installation is a poignant reminder that the North American bison, a source of sustenance for Indigenous people for thousands of years, was nearly hunted to extinction by European settlers in the 1800s.

Trailblazers: Alberta

This exhibit makes use of video interviews, concert footage and more to showcase big names hailing from Alberta, including Feist, Chad Kroeger, Tegan and Sara. Emerging artists and their accomplishments are also featured, from country singer Lindsay Ell to The Static Shift, a trio of Calgary-based blues-rockers.
