Look 2016

Calgary is on it’s way to opening a new, large, world-class contemporary art space, and Contemporary Calgary is leading the charge. Look 2016 is Contemporary Calgary’s annual fundraising event and, now in its third year, has gained national attention as one of the best fundraising parties in the country. This year’s soiree is headlined by a conversation between comedian and noted art collector Steve Martin and The New Yorker‘s Adam Gopnik. The most charitable guests that purchase the $2,000 tickets get to enjoy all of the evening’s exclusive  festivities including a chance to schmooze with the headliners at a pre-dinner reception, a three course dinner, the best seats in the house for Martin and Gopnik’s conversation, and a ticket to the after party. Other tiered-price tickets are available for $500 and $95, and while these tickets include less perks they all include a chance to hear legends Martin and Gopnik. Look 2016 is hosted at the Centennial Planetarium, 701 – 11 St SW, Calgary, AB.

We’ll cover the state of housing in Calgary and explore the role of design and policy in shaping the future of how we live. Presented by Design Talks Calgary, a grassroots non-profit organization dedicated to fostering collaboration and conversation about design and the built environment in Calgary.
