POPnology Exhibition

Flying Canoë Volant

This nighttime, outdoor festival takes its name from a French legend shared with First Nations peoples. In the legend, a French nobleman loved to hunt so much that he skipped Sunday mass and was cursed to wander the night skies forever in a flying canoe pursued by hollowing wolves. Perhaps you’ll spot him as you wander the Mill Creek Ravine, enjoying music, bannock roasting, and Indigenous art. Events are located in Mill Creek Ravine and at La Cite Francophone.

Rubaboo Arts Festival

This annual festival is Alberta’s only Indigenous multi-disciplinary arts festival. Experience Indigenous theatre, music, dance, art, food, family and youth events, crafts, cultural workshops, and more!

A Taste of Animethon

This preview to the annual celebration of Japanese animation and design gives fans a taste of the workshops, gaming, costume contests, film screenings, and more. You can meet special guests, such as voice actors Bryson Baugus and Lauren Landa.

Rainbow Visions

This diverse film festival showcases films featuring characters and stories that fit within the LGBTQ spectrum. This year’s highlighted films include Tom of Finland and God’s Own Country.

Cirque du Soleil: Kurios

This Steampunk-inspired Cirque du Soleil production literally turns the world upside down when an ambitious inventor attempts to manipulate it. Expect dazzling effects, stunning set designs, elaborate costumes, an original score, and an impressive display of dance, stunts, and acrobatics.
