The spectacular view of the Toronto skyline and the peaceful parks are what draw many people to the Toronto islands. Although they look like one island from the mainland, there are actually 17 (walkways connect the major islands). Ward’s Island, Hanlan’s Point and Centre Island are accessible all year. In summer, the islands offer an amusement park, in-line skating paths and picnic areas. Catch the ferry at the terminal by The Westin Harbour Castle Hotel, at Bay Street and Queens Quay.
