Located in the annex of the former Rosamond Woolen Company, this National Historic Site of Canada presents exhibits and events on the history of the Mississippi Valley and the textile industry, including period mill equipment and modern fibre art. Watch weaving and spinning demonstrations May through October.
March 19 to May 13: “150 Years of Canadian Weddings” (Pattie Dolan) takes a look at what has changed – and what has remained the same when it comes to tying the knot. March 19 to May 18: “Rare Reflections” (Hilary Rice) offers a look at contemplative-themed works by the artist, created out of textiles and layered to look like an illuminated manuscript.
Open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm year-round. $5; children under 12: free.
