The museum’s holdings include military and civil aircraft important to Canadian and world aviation history. On display are a wide variety of aircraft, as well as objects such as engines, propellers, instruments, armaments, flying gear, and wind tunnel models.
Opening May 13: The Starfleet Academy Experience will beam you up for an innovative, interactive exhibit. Put on your cadet hat and learn how to command a starship in this world premiere that explores the science and engineering of the franchise. Also on view:
Ongoing: Life in Orbit: The International Space Station explores what life is like for astronauts who work on the International Space Station and includes items such as a space toilet and exercise equipment.
Also on view: Green Skies Ahead explores the innovative carbon-friendly technology that will shape commercial aviation over the next 50 years.
Also available upon reservation and at least three days’ advance notice: a session in the Redbird FMX Flight Simulator, with $20 “First Flight”, $40 “Day-Tripper”, or $80 “Extreme Airports” options available.
