Activity Booking

Discover Banff Tours provides visitor informations and offers a variety of summer and winter activity bookings. Activities include (but are not limited to): wildlife watching, rafting, AVTing, heli-tours, horseback riding, cave tours, sightseeing lifts, Via Ferrata climbs, dog-sledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, heli-skiing and sleigh rides. Value-priced activity combos are available as well as ski shuttles to various ski resorts.


Summer Activities

 Guided Hikes 

Offering guided day trips with certified guides. Some guided hike themes include: Spring Wildflowers, Summer Glaciers and Fall Colours, and favourite hikes include the Plain of Six Glaciers and the Larch Valley trails. Trip bookings include hotel pick-up, hiking poles, binoculars and lunch.

Sightseeing Tours

Summer sightseeing tours run from the mid spring to mid fall. Tour lengths vary from 2 to 10 hours.

Discover Banff & its Wildlife is a 3 hour tour of Banff town site and vicinity.

Lake Louise & Moraine Lake is a 4 hour tour of the these two famous lakes.

Evening Wildlife Safari is a 2 hour evening tour.

Columbia Icefields Parkway is a 9 hour tour which includes a Glacier Adventure and picnic lunch

Discover Grizzly Bears is a 10 hour tour to to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort with bear refuge tour, gondola ride and mountaintop lunch.


Winter Activities

Sightseeing Tours

Guests board 24-person mini buses and tour to scenic viewpoints and cultural venues with wildlife viewing. Tours are lead by knowledgeable guides and include binoculars, snacks and hot chocolate. Winter tours run from December to mid April.

Discover Lake Louise is a 7 hour with an opportunity to try snowshoeing.


Snowshoeing Tours

Guided 4-hour interpretive tours with snowshoes, poles, transport and snack.

Some available tours include:

Snowshoeing to Marble Canyon goes over bridges spanning 40 m Tokumn Creek rock walls, and into a fire-charred forest and guests will stop for made-in-the-snow maple taffy

Snowshoeing to Paint Pots traverses the Kootenay River Valley to the Paint Pots while learning about fur trade history.


Canyon Icewalks

Guided tours with ice cleats, walking poles, transport and snack.

Some available tours include:

Johnston Canyon Icewalk is a moderate trek along trail and catwalks suspended from rock walls where guests will see ice climbing and the frozen Lower and Upper Falls

Johnston Canyon Icewalk Evening is night time trek to frozen ice formations lit by headlamps to be kept as souvenirs.

Grotto Canyon Icewalk is an easy walk along a frozen creek bed to historic Indigenous rock paintings, icefalls and ice climbing venues.
