The Atha-B, as it has been called for decades by locals and travellers alike, is one of Jasper's earliest hotels. In 1913, it was a grocery store and ladies wear shop with a rooming house upstairs. It was renovated and expanded in 1921 and became officially known as the Athabasca Hotel.
Today guests can still enjoy the hotel's charm and ambiance of days of old, complemented by renovations, award winning service and contemporary conveniences.
Close to shopping, dining, museums and galleries, the Atha-B is set in the heart of Jasper townsite. Guests enjoy complementary passes to the Jasper Activity and Aquatic Centres, just three blocks away.
O'Shea's Dining Room offers home-style cooking and heritage decor, while O'Shea's Lounge features big screen sports, daily happy hour and Jasper's only VLTs. The Atha-B Nightclub has a top 40 DJ with a world-class light and sound system Friday to Sunday nights.
