Banff Park Museum National Historic Site is Western Canada’s oldest natural history museum. The rustic-elegant 1903 ‘railway pagoda style’ building houses 5000 Victorian animal specimens that date from 1860 providing an enchanting way to see Banff’s mammals, birds, insects and other curiosities. There is a reading room as well as a hands-on discovery room and an Xplorer activity booklet for kids.
