In a log ‘fortress’ beside the Bow River is Alberta’s oldest museum. Colourful life-size dioramas depict the traditional life and ceremonies of late 1800s plains Indians. In summer, a First Nations’ Elder is available to conduct tours and play music. The gift shop sells native crafts and jewellery. And the museum provides complimentary tea and coffee.
Pricing: adults $10, seniors $9, ages 7 to 17 $5 and there is free entry for children under 7.

Winter hours: 11 am to 5 pm
