If you’re a whisky aficionado, March 1 to 3 is the time to be in Halifax, as the city hosts the NSLC Festival of WhiskyAttendees will experience some of the world’s finest whiskies at the Grand Tasting, featuring some 170 selections. Cheelin has been serving up Szechuan and Beijing cuisine in the historic Brewery Market on Lower Water Street for over 20 years. The Friday buffet is a local favourite, featuring many MSG-free dishes seasoned with traditional spices. You can’t go wrong with ginger beef or wonton soup.
