These lovely log bowls are designed by Doha Chebib of the Alberta-based Loyal Loot co-operative. Interior accessory gems, they’re made of real Alberta wood and come in a variety of colours and sizes, retailing between $68 – $204. Located in the heart of the Design District, the open concept ATCO Blue Flame Kitchen is a hub for budding chefs and foodies alike. Programming director and Red Seal Chef Laura Kennedy schedules a variety of hands-on cooking classes and demonstrations Thursday through Sunday. “It’s a great social environment, with some of the best food in the city,” says Kennedy.

Located in the Design District between 4th street and 8th street, SODO (south of downtown) is an area filled with high-end galleries and unique independent boutiques. From 12 – 5 PM tomorrow, shops will be offering up delicious samples, music events and other fun surprises.
SIT Interiors is launching the Baby Bot boutique (located upstairs inside SIT) with free face-painting for children. Singer-songwriter Aislinn Grant will be performing and the SnoBerry food truck will be parked outside, offering up delicious iced treats.
The Camera Store will be offering free pictures in their photo booth and the Gerry Thomas Gallery will be hosting karaoke. For a delectable treat while shopping, visit Metrovino, which will be offering up free samples as will Brulee Bakery.
