Hot Shopping: Log Bowls at Kit Interior Objects.

These lovely log bowls are designed by Doha Chebib of the Alberta-based Loyal Loot co-operative. Interior accessory gems, they’re made of real Alberta wood and come in a variety of colours and sizes, retailing between $68 – $204. A fantastic accent for any home, the bowls are available at Kit Interior Objects in Calgary’s SODO¬†Design District.

Gallery Spotlight

For two decades Wallace Galleries has displayed paintings, sculpture and ceramics by renowned art world veterans as well as up and coming Canadian artists. The gallery’s high floor-to-ceiling front windows flood it with natural light, which is apropos for the outdoor theme of A Bush With Alberta, a collection of work by realist painter Bill Webb. This exhibition of the artist’s Alberta landscapes is on display Mar 17 – 18. A group show featuring new work by Wallace Galleries regulars such as Alain Attar, Kristine Paton and Herbert Siebner will be on display Apr 1 – 25. The exhibition will include a variety of painting styles as well as bronze works. 500 – 5 Ave SW.
