APRIL 25 TO MAY 5  North America’s largest and most renowned documentary film festival, Hot Docs grows exponentially more popular every year. The 20th edition of the event is set to screen more than 180 thought-provoking flicks that are sure to elicit a range of emotions and trigger innumerable conversations. Alongside the slate of new works is a special presentation of movies by the festival’s 2013 Outstanding Achievement Award recipient, Les Blank, whose 35-plus films are known for poetically exploring American life and culture. APRIL 26 TO MAY 6 North America’s largest documentary festival, Hot Docs, has been bringing head-scratching, nail-biting and heart-warming movies to the masses since 1993. Last year saw the festival break attendance records; the 2012 installment is anticipated to be equally successful, with more than 150 of the best homegrown and international non-fiction films presented at the festival’s newly refurbished headquarters, the Bloor Hot Docs Cinema.
