Whether you call our beautiful city home or are planning a visit, Calgary is the place to be. Designated a 2012 Cultural Capital, Calgary was just ranked the fifth most livable city in the world on The Economist’s Liveability Ranking.

The ranking is based on factors including stability, health care, education, infrastructure, environment and culture. One hundred and forty cities are considered and Calgary scored 96.6 points out of 100. Two other Canadian cities cracked the top five, with Vancouver coming in at third place and Toronto at fourth.
