Sunday, December 4
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and what better way to spend your Sunday than strolling through the open-air Lowe’s Christmas Market. Drawing on European traditions, the Distillery Historic District’s cobblestone streets will be transformed with carolers, mulled wine stations, numerous artisans and even a Ferris wheel.
Scored by David Buchbinder and Dave Wall, Tumbling into Light promises a multidisciplinary night of dance and music at Harbourfront Centre’s Enwave Theatre. The ensemble piece aims to seamlessly blend an array of performance art in a meditation on mythic journeys from darkness into light.
December is chock full of chocolate, pies and rich meats, so prep with a stop at event venue 918 Bathurst for the Toronto Vegan/Raw Food Festival. There’s more than just wheatgrass to whet your appetite: browse cruelty-free clothing, educate yourself on health topics and indulge in samples from local culinary leaders of the raw food movement.
