JUNE 26 TO SEPTEMBER 1  Toronto’s most popular theatrical tradition offers up equal doses of tragedy and humour as Shakespeare in High Park presents both Macbeth and The Taming of the Shrew. The Canadian Stage’s annual outdoor performances of The Bard’s best have over the decades become a summer cultural staple. This year, the powerful “Scottish Play” and the comedy about a willful woman are performed on alternating nights, giving families and thespians alike ample reason to make a return visit. High Park Amphitheatre, Tuesday to Sunday 8 p.m., pay what you can ($20 suggested); call 416-368-3110 or click here for further details.  —Sam Cheung
