Cheesecake at Café Belong

The Evergreen Brick Works, one of the city’s most environmentally sustainable attractions, got even greener this past summer with the opening of Café Belong. The brainchild of chef Brad Long, the airy restaurant offers lunch, dinner and weekend brunch—plus a variety of take-away snacks—highlighting seasonal dishes, many of which are composed of ingredients sourced directly from the Brick Works’ popular farmers’ market. At press time, the fresh and tasty options included a generous hot pot of shellfish ($19), fluffy frittata ($13) and Monforte chevre cheesecake ($9). True to the site’s communal spirit, Café Belong also features family-style shareable meals with themes such as “vegan’s banquet” and “beef barbecue.”
