AUGUST 5 TO 15 Toronto nurtures emerging artistic talent this month as the SummerWorks Theatre Festival returns. The largest juried stage festival in the country presents more than 40 independent productions and performances, as well as workshops and walking tours of the Theatre District. Among the many creative endeavours is Molotov Circus by Winnipeg playwright Debbie Patterson the well-reviewed show follows a dysfunctional family of carnival freaks—and Miss Caledonia, a one-woman play by Second City alumna Melody A.
