MAY 5 TO JUNE 5 One of the most successful independent Canadian theatre productions of the past decade, Zadie’s Shoes makes its dramatic return. The play, written by Adam Pettle, tells the story of Benjamin, a compulsive gambler who has 72 hours to win back the money he’s lost for his girlfriend’s cancer treatment. For the first time since his Bar Mitzvah, he finds himself at the synagogue, struggling to reconcile his belief in the power of faith and the natureof luck.
