Casting call

Jocelyne Levesque is one of two Canadians—Regina’s Amy Biddle is the other—who will be part of the ensemble cast for the Rockettes’ Canadian debut. The Windsor-born performer is thrilled to be part of the show. “The Rockettes have been around since 1933, so to be part of this legend is just overwhelming,” she says. “And as a Canadian to be performing for the first time in Canada is just great. My whole family from Windsor will come up to see me perform here.” This will be the 22-year-old’s first time living in Toronto and she is ready to see all that the city has to offer—after resting up between shows, of course. “The doors are open to me and whenever I have the time, I will explore. I just can’t wait,” Levesque enthuses. What will those doors lead to? “I would love to go to a museum or see Wicked. I’ve heard great things about it. And shop! I have to do Christmas shopping here. I’ve already been to Kensington Market; I bought a very cute T-shirt and a cool belt.”For more on the Canadian debut of the Rockettes, see A Singular Sensation.
