Blue Button Shop Boasts Japanese Fashion and More

Blue Button Shop Toronto

Dundas Street West now boasts a global touch thanks to Blue Button Shop, a serene clothing boutique that carries many Japanese labels that aren’t available elsewhere in the city. Owner Brian Cheuk, a fan of the country’s low-key design aesthetics, notably speaks no Japanese; he negotiated many of the deals for his store with the help of Google Translate and his iPhone. Patrons are well rewarded for Cheuk’s efforts with over 30 labels, including Evam Eva, The Superior Labor, Koromo, Momotaro, Decho and Mizuiro-Ind. Moreover, customers can purchase items guilt-free: Cheuk visited the factories where the items are made to ensure safe and humane working conditions. Open daily. –Linda Luong
