Got both a vegetarian and a meat lover in your party? Then check out the oh-so-charming Fleur de Sel in Gatineau (about 10 minutes from downtown Ottawa). The menu is predominantly vegetarian, but also features some very tasty seafood and wild game. Be sure to try their house specialty: savoury buckwheat crepes stuffed with a variety of fillings (there are also sweet versions available for dessert). With reasonable prices and a lovely, simple dining room, this intimate restaurant offers a romantic meal that won’t break the bank.
