Chinatown Remixed is back for another year of fun and thought-provoking art on Somerset Street West. About 50 artists and 40 businesses join forces to showcase artwork and draw attention to a neat neighbourhood by displaying pieces in stores, restaurants, and other local businesses over the course of a month. There’s always a mixture of media and this year promises to be no different. Some notable pieces to keep an eye out for: paintings of the Great Wall of China by the late Leonard Gerbrandt at Jadeland, an installation of 64 electronic lucky cats at Ben Ben Restaurant by Joanna Swim and Adrian Göllner, and sculptures by Marisa Gallemit and Britta Evans-Fenton made from Asian-inspired materials at Aline Hair Design and Double Happiness. On view until June 15.
