As a professional photographer and an avid lover of the outdoors, my favourite destination has always been Jasper. With the mountains and fresh air enclosing you, it’s an amazing experience.

We’re all trying to keep up the pace on our treadmill lifestyles, so if you are looking to leap off that hamster wheel, my advice is to pack up and head to Jasper!

I cannot express how quaint the community is, how majestic the wildlife is and, of course, how serene the sunsets are to witness. I cherish every moment I spend in the Rockies.

From the valley bottoms looking up or the mountaintops looking outward, there is so much to connect to. Jasper inspires an awareness of this vast world filled with magic (yes, I think seeing a bear up close is absolutely magical!) we often forget is upon us. How else do I explain it? Well, the music is softer, the sun is hotter and the minutes move slower when you’re in the Rockies.

My final advice to you when you plan your trip to Jasper: bring your thesaurus so you’ll be able to gather all of the words you’ll require to sum up your experience. If you’re needing help with that, some of my favourites include: majestic, stunning and, of course, breathtaking. See you in Jasper!
