Restaurant Le Beaujolais opened in 1980—food critic John Gilchrist calls it “a classic… an elegant oasis of outstanding wines, great food and fine service.” Now owner Albert Moser has added a new, less formal bistro at the same location. Bistro Café de Paris patrons love the reasonably priced à la carte menu, Les Plates du Jour and the Entrecôte Café de Paris—AAA New York cut of Alberta beef finished table-side and served with pommes frites and salade verte (best enjoyed with one of many wines offered by the glass). — Jack Wennot
