In researching its upcoming book Far & Wide: A Weekly Guide to Canada’s Best Travel Experiences, US travel publisher Frommer’s talked to Canadian celebrities about their favorite vacation spots in Canada, and this week shared some of their musings with the Toronto Sun.
Although the gossip rags won’t be staking out the favorite summer hideaways of Inuit throat singer Tanya Tagaq or author Johanna Skibsrud, it’s fun to know where Canadians with presumably enough wealth to go wherever they want choose to travel. Picks were heavy on the outdoors, with love for Alberta’s Kananaskis country, Parc National du Bic in Quebec, Nova Scotia’s Cape Chignecto Provincial Park and Marble Island in Nunavut.
