Sometimes there’s nothing better than a plain old burger. Except maybe a fresh-ground Ontario heritage beef brisket burger with house-smoked maple bacon, aged cheddar, Guinness mustard and lemon aioli. That’s the burger from Toronto’s Harbord Room that ended up with the number-one slot on Toronto Life’s best burger list.
Best of all: TL has a photo of each of its top 25 picks, including a hefty tarragon-and-rosemary-seasoned patty topped with Stilton (Nota Bene), spicy-sweet Asian-influenced elk sliders (Union) and a no-nonsense classic from a long-standing neighbourhood pub (Allen’s).
