Hot Attraction: Alley Kat Brewery Tour and Seasonal Ale Launch

Photo courtesy of Alley Kat Brewery

Raise a glass to the start of the fall season by checking out this free, adults-only event!

Alley Kat Brewing Co., Edmonton’s longest-running microbrewery, is hosting a Launch Party for the release of their two fantastic seasonal fall brews. The Pumpkin Pie Spice Ale is a medium-bodied ale accented with notes of cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg and has as a light, crisp taste, while the Oktoberfest Lager is brewed with specialty Munich/German malts and has a bold, ‘bready’ taste to it with a moderate aftertaste of hops.

This event will feature a detailed walk-through tour of the brewery, delicious appetizers, and samples of all of the Alley Kat brews. The Edmonton Bone-Wagon Crew will also be on hand with an interesting display of their most unique hearses. (Yes, hearses.)

This event is on Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 5 pm – 8 pm at the Alley Kat Brewery at 9929 60th Ave. There is no cost or registration required to attend the Launch Party. Craft-beer enthusiasts should be eager to try this limited-edition ale, and those that just enjoy a good drink will get to learn about the behind-the-scenes brewing process in an informative, relaxed setting.

If you aren’t able to attend the Launch Party, these beers can be purchased at various liquor retailers throughout Edmonton, or on tap at select pubs and dining establishments.

For more information about the Launch Party, daily tours, or products, contact Alley Kat Brewing Co. at 780-436-8922 or visit their website.
