Following is the official itinerary for their brief, but busy visit.
Thursday, July 7, 2011
4:30 pm Calgary International Airport: The Royal couple arrive in Calgary by helicopter and are greated by the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Donald S. Ethell and Mrs. Linda M. Ethell, the Premier of Alberta Ed Stelmach and Marie Stelmach; MLA for Calgary-McCall, Darshan Kang and Mrs. Sharanjit Kang; MP for Calgary-Northeast, Devinder Shory and Mrs. Neetu Shory; Mayor Naheed Nenshi, and Chima Nkemdirim. A traditional White Hat Ceremony will be performed by Mayor Nenshi on the tarmac.
5 pm Ward of the 21st Century Research and Innovation Centre: While they are touring the facility, they will get a first hand look at some of Calgary’s leading edge medical technology, such as the ASL Mobile Eye, the iStan, the Wireless Temporal Arterial Bandage Thermometer, the XSENSOR and Cleankeys.
7 pm: BMO Centre: Their Royal Highnesses will arrive in a 1912 stage coach at the BMO Centre where they will see some live Stampede demonstrations, such as bull riding and chuckwagon racing before entering the BMO Centre for a performance by local country star Paul Brandt and the Young Canadians of the Calgary Stampede.

8:40 am Calgary Stampede Parade: Their Royal Highnesses will ride in a Lincoln town car in reverse order down the Calgary Stampede Parade route to Bow Valley College where they will be greeted by the President and Chairman of the Board of the Calgary Stampede, Mike Casey to officially open the parade by pushing the “Plunger” to begin the fireworks. Their Royal Highnesses will stay to watch the parade in the company of some of the Calgary Stampede youth.
11:30 am Enmax Conservatory at the Calgary Zoo: After touring the facility Their Royal Highnesses will also have the opportunity to put the final touches on desserts prepared by the students in the culinary program at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
12:45 pm Calgary Rotary Challenger Park: This is the official goodbye ceremony before the Royal Couple leaves for the Calgary International Airport.
1:30 pm Calgary International Airport: A farewell to our Royal visitors as they head off to Los Angeles.
