Chasing Summer Festival
When: Saturday, July 30 & Sunday, July 31 (it’s the Heritage Day long weekend in Alberta, so you’ve got Monday to sleep in!)

One Love Music Festival
When: Saturday, September 10 & Sunday, September 11
What: After a very successful debut, One Love is back again. This festival is dedicated to hip hop music by top international and emerging local artists in an all-ages setting.
Who: 18 main stage acts including legends Big Sean and Lil’ Wayne headline the show and popular newcomersTy Dolla $ign and Jazz Cartier. Over 10 emerging hip hop artists and performers from across Canada will show off their stuff on the new One Up Stage.

When: Saturday, September 3 & Sunday, September 4 (it’s the labour day long weekend in Alberta, so you can fill two days with music and still have a bonus day!)
What: These music festivals feature a number of alt-rock and indie bands — the lineup is the same, but the schedule is reversed. So you can see the show in Calgary or Edmonton — make a road trip out of it! Or, if you reallllllly like a particular band or artists, buy two single-day tickets and see them twice in different cities.
Who: 15 acts including Twenty One Pilots, The Lumineers (playing their first-ever show in Alberta!), acoustic pro Vance Jo, and local lovelies The Royal Foundry.

Calgary Folk Music Festival
When: July 21 – 24
What: This chill music festival is located in Prince’s Island Park, steps away from downtown Calgary, and is a tradition for Calgarians of all ages.
Who: The New Pornographers, Whitehorse, The Dudes, The Sadies, The Tallest Man on Earth, and Corb Lund are just a few of the 75 folk and indie performers that will be gracing the seven stages throughout the weekend.
