On Saturday, Eat Real YYC is bringing local businesses and producers together for a celebration of independent Calgary cuisine.
The food fair will be held in part inside Casel Marche’s ground level market (2503 17th AVE SW) and outside on 24th AVE SW where the street will be closed to traffic. Guests are invited to interact with vendors and sample a variety of foods and beverages celebrating local ingredients.
Vendors will include Casel Marche’s own J. Webb Wine Merchants and Vie Café. Other participants include Sidewalk Citizen organic bakery, Fairwinds Farm (Southern Alberta goat’s milk, cheese and yoghurt), Highwood Crossing (first-press canola oils, bread mixes, cereals and gluten-free flours). Joining in on the culinary fun, food trucks Fries ‘N Dolls, Alley Burger, Los Compadres, Holy Skillet and Blamwich will be on hand.
Eat Real YYC runs 10 am until 5 pm, May 26. Call 403-685-4410 or visit Casel Marche for more information.
