Hot Date: The Beach Boys at the Calgary Stampede

The Beach Boys playing the Scotiabank Saddledome for their 50th Anniversary Tour

“Do You Wanna Dance” and experience some “Good Vibrations”? “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” if you could get a ticket for tonight’s Beach Boys concert at the Scotiabank Saddledome? Well you can! Ticketmaster still has some available, but you “Can’t Wait Too Long.”

Sorry about those puns. The legendary 1960s pop music icons have reunited for their 50th anniversary tour and will be playing at the Saddledome tonight. Fans can expect to hear their favourite classic Beach Boys songs as well as the band’s new single “That’s Why God Made The Radio,” a throwback to their original sound.

The Beach Boys are just one of several big-name concerts celebrating the Stampede’s centennial year. Garth Brooks will perform a sold-out show at the Saddledome on Thursday, and Paul Brandt performs nightly at the Transalta Grandstand show, alongside the youth dance troupe The Young Canadians. Advance tickets for the Grandstand show are sold out, though a limited number of tickets go on sale every morning at 11 am.
